But not aero. At least, according to former co-workers who had aero engineering degrees, aerodynamics is the least-intuitive and most empirical of all of the engineering disciplines. Meaning that it agrees with common sense the least, and is derived from testing the most.
"Aero is weird stuff" was my personal take on it.
