They put the 175 hp 2.8L in Colorados and Canyons from (I think) 2004 through about 2006 or 2007. After that, the base engine is a 185 hp 2.9L 4 cylinder. You might check out the 06 Canyon Modding thread to find how I get that mileage.
These trucks have to be driven slow to get good mileage. MPG drops fast over 55 MPH.
