You need to check with 320Touring as he has a couple of BMWs and I think he would be dancing in the street with 45 (or the equivalent in Imperial MPG) even with his 318iS.

No, they ran it against an M3 coupe, the 335 is a mass produced equivalent made possible by BMW fitting the engine from a 5 series into a 3. The test was unrealistic of course (its TG after all ), a better comparison would have been both driving at the Prius speed.

(Disclaimer, I am both a Prius owner, a TG fan, and a fan of the real performance 3-Series the 335d which had to be detuned because it would outrun the new M3...)
