I wouldn't say my wife supports it, but she reluctantly puts up with it since she doesn't really like driving. My wife and I share one car. I have a company van for my commute so it's her car during the day and I drive on evenings and weekends. I have been told not to try to change her driving habits, although she's admitted that a little is rubbing off. Still, Most of our in town trips are pretty short, so it's really hard to get good tank numbers when I'm only doing half to 2/3 of the driving.
