I'm not sure many 250cc enduros are water-cooled and they may be too tall for a small frontal area and good high speed handling ( particularly in the wind. ) . I've looked for a NX 250 but haven't found any for sale. The Ninja 250 has a proven track record and with my friends Alan and Craig doing a lot of work on streamlining and maximizing output for the Ninja 250 it just makes sense to consider the Ninja. I made an offer on a nice 2006 Ninja, and have 2 more bikes to check out . the search continues......
The NX and the KLR are both water cooled and have 6-speeds, but I agree - you don't see them used everyday. You would have to do some mods to drop them down for a fairinged MPG streamliner.

The little Ninja has a lot going for it, and certainly has put up some pretty decent MPG numbers both stock and modded.

Let us know what you end-up with.

Jay
