I have trained my spouse hard in eco-driving since she got her license a few years ago. Now she is more frustrated than me when other drivers do their erratic driving and interfering with her eco-driving. She has gotten so used to P&G she can't really drive in a steady state anymore without feeling bad about the wasted energy.

There is no instrumentation in our Civic so consumption is measured when we fill up. If the average is worse than normal, she gets concerned. Sometimes, she is embarrassed to tell me if the figures are bad. I take it she is more into this as a sort of competition (with herself) rather than to save money. She don't really consider using public transportation or a bike instead of the car. She has no problems with eco-modding but doesn't take much interest in it herself.
