Hi

I`m stupid when it comes to mechanicals, so can someone explain this a little better?

As far as I think I understand this engine does not use piston rods but uses more of a direct drive and thus has lower losses through friction and mechanical force transfer and because of the compact opposite side layout also needs less metal and hence less weight for the same amount of pwoer as would a traditional engine layout.
Sure looks interesting, yet I wonder how much stress the direct drive does on metals and how much vibration this design produces if compared with the traditional one.
