Just out of curiosity did you set the toe? You said it feels stable but that could be the case with excessive toe in, while eating the outside edge of the front tires.
Alignment on a machine would be the best but you could check it with a measuring tape. You would want to see about 1/8" less on the front side of the tires (or less as long as you toe in a little).
