It would be more interesting if the board did more: provided an isolated pulse width signal to the charge controller (the allowed current draw is indicated by the pulse width), provided a motor controller "inhibit" output, or sent a CAN bus 'connected' message.

If I add J1772 support to the charge, I will be making it take full use of the pilot signal. I dont just want it to tell the EVSE that there is something connected.
