1968 suburban eco footprint

I had a '68 suburban until a couple years ago. I knew it was pig (12 mpg) but it was paid for. Then I started wondering about the real cost of changing it out:

Most people change cars every 4-5 years. The 'burb was 40 years old when I sold it. That means there was no carbon footprint created by recycling a vehicle and making a new one 7-10 times.

Does anyone know what the cost and waste is to make a new car?

The 'burb had 68,000 mi on it. At 12 mpg, that would have meant 5666 gallons were burnt and discharged out the tailpipe.

If I can get info on how much pollution the vehicle made, would it be valid to do a comparo on the pollution from making 7-10 new cars vs the pollution from burning 5666 gallons?
