First off. Thank you 94mometro for your contributions! I was aware of the team swift headlight cover how to, it is an awesome write up and I am sure I will use it in part if not in whole.

The moon eyes may have to wait, I will eventually need to replace my existing tires (icky half worn out 12" snow tires). 12" tires are becoming harder to find, and sadly this means they are more expensive than they need to be. I am exploring other options, this meaning a taller rim with a shorter tire so it is about as tall as the combo I have now. I am REALLY stuck on the idea of going to Alloy rims. unfortunately Alloys have become a marketing ploy and are often heavier (counts as both unsprung weight and rotating mass) than their steel counterparts, and almost certainly always wider (more frontal area meaning less aerodynamic and limits tire width choices). my current thought process is some 15" alloys off an Acura Legend with short tires, alternately a set of 13" or 14"steels with appropriate tires.

Anyways. sorry for the long rambling answer but no sense in buying a set of moon caps if I end up replacing the rims. And thank you again!
