I got back the standard 'you're an idiot, build one yourself' answer.
Would it have been that hard to take a moment to give your reasons for why my suggestion was a poor one?

Overall length, I honestly can't say, but, my guess is that you will be pretty close to where you are now, but the seats will be shifted forward some.
AC? You got me on that one.
I do see a few advantages to your layout.
Probably more stable.
Most definitely more crash worthy in head on collisions. Better to have that lump in front rather than being jammed up your backside in a collision.
