You can feel the intake on my car sucking air from up to 6 feet in front of it... then again, there is a mechanical compressor doing the sucking. Regardless, even when made to suck more air, the turbo doesn't positively affect mileage. The ECU's target AFR needs to be adjusted so that the injectors use less fuel per a given amount of intake air as measured by the MAF sensor.
