I have never owned a vehicle that I didn't see as only transportation (double negative!). I have had many bikes and cars in 40 years on the road, rarely washed and never waxed them.
Just keep them in safe running condition with a clean windshield. But I look forward to getting my 1981 BMW R65 back together (blown tranny) and maybe getting a new Honda CRF230M late next year.

I,ve got a R 65 and it really pisses off the harley riders when they find out their boots and leathers cost more than my bike did.
When someone tells me they have a harley I ask what kind of trailer they haul it in.
Harley miles are like dog years.
