From what I've read about this vehicle so far it looks like the car and the truck have the same drive train so if you find info on one it crosses over to the other as long as it's the 120v ac drive train.
But the negatives about this vehicle look to outweigh everything else about it, lawsuits, bad reviews and the people who have driven them say they are unstable going down hills if you get going 35mph or faster.

For the money, I'd say get someone's unfinished EV project or get an electric Ford Ranger off Ebay that are close to your budget, most of them need $2,000 in batteries but at that point you have a full half ton pickup truck that can go highway speeds.
