Strangers with mpg questions.

I've been driving the green wedge (electric comuti-car) around a fair amount and people who don't realize it's electric tend to ask me what kind of gas mileage it gets, it's the most common question next to "where did I get it", same thing happened when we took my mom's Honda n600 to a car show last week, alot of people making comments about how it must get great gas mileage.
My favorite response tho when people ask how much it costs is to tell them that if I would have picked it up a few years ago I could have paid 1/5 of what I did pay.
As I see it, it's poor planing on their part to still be driving vehicles that are sheer monsters, but poor planing is the American way.
