Rear Wheel Boat Tail Fabrication

AAAH YYEAAAAHH, memorial day weekend.

before i start, please everyone take a moment to pray for our troops overseas and over here and all of their family members.

so, I had posted an article about my dream rear wheel skirts with an integrated boat tails. well, i'm trying to do some fast and loose fabrication of the boat tails

so, for the images below:

first, i started by cutting some cross-sectional templates (hopefully, i got the measurements, right and the sharpest angle is about 20 degrees).

next, i glued them together trying to make a three-dimensional model of the boat tail. You can see in the profile picture of it that i intend to follow the curve of the wheel, keeping about an inch of horizontal spacing between the tire and the boattail.

it actually wound up being a bit too wide, but if i can knock it down a bit, who knows, i might be able to fiberglass it tomorrow! awesomeness.
