A Sawzall can turn almost any car into a pseudo-Pulsar.

I suppose if a real boattail is your goal, any squareback vehicle would be the easiest starting point, as you could potentially build it solely on the hatch- or in the hole the hatch used to occupy- leaving all else untouched.

I have considered such a thing for Moon Unit.

Sedans like "Blue", my 4 door Tempo, could be more complicated because of my desire to keep easy access to the trunk.
