Steel rim vs hubcaps for aero

When I bought my Corolla it came with no hubcaps with fairly solid steel rims. I could put Camry hubcaps on it which look fairly good and appear to be fair aero, but was wondering what way would be less aero drag?

Camry stock hubcaps:

My corolla steel rims look like the ones on this car:

I know smooth hubcaps are best, but I'm not so sure about the moon cap look. I think I would rather clear tape (plastic maybe) camry hubcaps instead some time down the road, or maybe plastic over the steelies.
