Sorry if this gets long but....I had to experiment with an upper grille block and couldn't resist the opportunity to make some sort of forced air induction. This is all just a test. LOL like everything else in here.
I'm watching the temp on my scan gauge. It is constructed from a piece of 1/8" aluminum plate. I removed the air intake grid and bars behind it as well to allow the air in.I also used gorilla duct tape on the surround of the car to protect the paint. Also taped any hole I could find around/on the passages for the duct to airbox.I also taped the bottom edge of the block. There were to large ovals on the bottom side of the hood which I closed off as well. We'll see how this work out.I'm also looking into This list...removal of the driver side lower grille.remount horns out of the way, remove back side of drivers headlight to make room and finally install a duct directly to the bottom of the airbox. There that was easy LOL.
