Finally, I found something that puts forth what I've felt for a long time, but with numbers and a rational progression to the position statement that I hadn't. I could have glommed this onto any number of existing threads but I think it deserves it's own.

I found the discussion that followed most intriguing and enlightening as well- might have to bookmark it or set aside quite a bit of time to soak it all in.
