The added weight is there and I think more city-type driving for the half of the trip. Second half, I get to hop on the highway and I'm the only one in the car. There's a nice gradual hill that leads to my work parking lot for the last 2 miles as well.
I had to deal with stop-n-go traffic for part of it, but still pulled ahead with 57mpg according to my well-calibrated Scangauge. I think that's a record for me.
