It runs very nicely, if it's nicely laid with fine grain.
I remember getting on a new (experimental ?) stretch of light cream-colorued Motorway in the UK, where instant fuel mileage instantly dropped by about 0.5L/100 km - more than 10% .
New Dutch asphalt is also nice.
They'll put up signs that the braking distance is increased, never noticed that as a problem, but what I did notice is that it was good for FE
