I have difficulty understanding how a car can do over twice the EPA rating without mods. Something is out of kilter here, I'm wondering if the correct EPA reference has been taken. Does you speed of 55-60 correspond with what is known of the Corolla's sweet spot ? It seems a bit high for me so maybe there is even more efficiency to be gained from dropping that down slightly.
Hats off for all the hypermiling efforts but this story is just tood good to believe at first read.
