If I recall correctly, the other reason they stopped using that car was that it was pretty much impossible, with the engineering of the time, to get the steering geometry just right since it was so complex. I think if F1 wasn't run by people with their heads in various places that they shouldn't be, that basic concept could work better with current technology.
