Instead of extending my air dam lower, I previously tried mounting a second 2" tall air dam about 4 inches back from my front bumper and under my splitter setup, but my fuel mileage was worse. I noticed the truck does better with my splitter and the belly panels in a slight angle down to cover the front lower frame...a little bit like the 1969 Charger Daytona, but not nearly so great looking and pointed. My next thought is to mount some 2x2s the length of the truck to mount my panels to, and just make the curve at the front a little longer up to my splitter.
I am curious as to why the end of your panel kit is not angled/curved up to be a more aerodynamic kind of tailcone? Does it make a difference?
[edit] but this thread is about aerocaps. Sorry for the hi-jack
