Got that, losses on rebate circulation vortex, but gain on smaller rear, may be positive or negative vs perfect boat tail junction, but may provide a more viable option in some cases: ie attatch to hatch only, allowing easier access to rear without having to build up body around hatch opening, so even though boattail efficiency may be reduced, practicality may make it a more realistic option. Obviously appropriate tuft testing to prove out effectiveness would be required.
