Hi All,
Does this car have friction brakes ? I do not remember seeing any. So the 8 of the 100 HP wheel motor/brakes probably are needed to get the braking power needed.
Also, this car has a pretty heavy battery load. Tires with sufficient load rating might be quite large, and have lots of air drag. Where the 8 tires fit under the lower body work.
