I do use old timing belt to keep those timing belt pulleys from moving for example, also works as oil filter opener etc. You can also cut old belt and put bits on floor and it works as antislip, also you can use bits to protect floor if you need to put down something heavy, great also when put into corners of boxes, prevents issues with sharp corners.
Bit boys told me that it is great for adult activities, but I would not know of those, honest
