If it's like the Metro (and my Nissans) you need to use the side of the injector that is switched to ground by the ECU as that is the signal that is changing.

One side of the injector is fed +12V (or whatever the battery voltage is), and the other side is grounded by the ecu.
1992 Geo Metro, 1.0L 5spd, 435,000 miles on the original engine and trans!
