I'll have to look again, but I think the civic and CRX even have a 50 amp fuse on the alternator, so there is no way it's drawing 60 amps even a peek of 40 amps would be pushing it, I haven't been able to find my test results but 10 amps at normal running and 18 to 20 peek with lights and fan on high seems more along the lines of what I saw with my testing, LED marker lights will help a great deal, so with HID head lights, then a deep cycle battery pack and if you figure 10 hours of driving... driving without a stop is insane!!!!! you need to stop, plug in, stretch, eat and so on.
