I would absolutely buy one, if I were in the market for a new car/bike, and had the coin to spare. I was looking at one last year while I was employed, and had full intentions of getting rid of a bunch of my projects to buy one, just so I could enclose it and use it as full-on transportation.

Given the available utility, use and function, the $7,000 (include duties and fees, paperwork, etc.) doesn't seem like a bad price point, if it's to be compared to a new fuel efficient car purchase. The insurance will also be extremely cheap, since it's registered as a motorcycle, or in some cases, a scooter, adding more value overall.
