If you want to get the humidity out of compressed air, just fill the tank up and let it sit overnight. The humidity will condense as the compressed air cools off and you have dry air in the morning.
Learned this trick painting cars. Fill the compressor and disconnect any air hoses so the pressure doesn't leak down. Pressure will go down overnight and almost every molecule of water will condense at the bottom of the compressor. The air coming out of the tank will be dry until you run the compressor enough to replace all the air in the tank. On nasty humid days here (seen 99 degrees and 100% at midnight) this gets the moisture out that can ruin a paint job even with separators.
