Ain't that the truth.

My GM vehicle requires the air filter assy to come out on the driver's side and the battery on the passenger side to replace the headlight bulbs.

Oddly , the tail light bulbs require no tools at all. Remove panel , unclip the housing and remove bulb.

That and the remote boot / trunk lock release are works of engineering genius especially compared the barbaric ironmogery associated with the headlights.
