With 4 cylinders I saw a big jump in FE but the truck was dangerously slow and gutless. I don't remember my numbers but something like 30% better FE on highway. If I were to do it again I would have th fuel injectors on toggle switched and only switch hem off at speed.

I don't believe that for a second. Unless there's something special about your engine, we haven't found any econo benefit from shutting injectors off.
