so the added angel joint where the carrier bearing is, will be the only thing that would make any difference.
its not a U-joint, its more like a ball on a pivot, and the small bearing in the carrier.
ok so not that much at all, just about more to be had by reducing 15ish lbs of auto load.
a bit of the cross member comes out to do it, plus the carrier bearing, granted the drive line will get a few pounds bigger...
clearly, much more to be had buy doing a gearing swap.
ill likely do bolth at the same time, being the auto will be getting many changes.
