UFO, I feel your pain. I have some air bags that are just cut too big/deep. I end up epoxying in the fitting. No combination of tape/dope/ gookempucky will stop them up.
Regarding the challenge:
I bit off more than i could chew. I can live with that. I am ambivalent about extending the date, at best.
