You've got unrealistic expectations of the news media- a direct quote is useless unless it's in proper context! They somehow screwed that up and did it properly. The tone of the article was great, listing the tiny improvements and then hitting them with the big number. They even make it sound like it's easy, and getting real gains actually is.
Their use of trained monkeys that rely on Auto Correct is cute: Occasionally you get middle fingers and other less than police gestures.
