Going to have to build the bumper I want
I have been searching around for a push bumper/air dam that will fit a old C/K-10/20/30 body style.
The factory stamped chrome bumpers on both ends have had it.
When I find something that looks about right its got a $1000+ price tag and then I bet it takes a freight charge to move it anywhere.
I picked up a used rear step bumper from the junk yard for dirt cheap. The step bumper will be good for when I load stuff on top of my suburban and will give me a place to install power plugs (I am installing a big power inverter to run saws and welder) and air quick disconnects (also installing a rather large Gast 12v air compressor), I may even add a block heater plug into the back also.
I would like the same on the front, a male power plugs for the block heater, a female power plug so I can use the inverter power around the truck and air QDs.
I have an idea of what I want it to look like, a optional or custom ford bumper I found a picture of on the internet.
I would like to make it out of thinner steel diamond plate from the scrap yard and paint it with truck bed liner. Stainless steel would be acceptable too.
Will post a pic later.
