The Ebay item you posted is a pretty nice set-up, aluminum & inexpensive too !!
The only advantage I see to it, with it's larger volume capacity, would be the length of time you could go between draining. Which would be nice too !

I drain mine once a month, usually the 30th of every month.
It will consistently have about 1" of "stuff" in it, thinner than normal dirty oil viscosity...
There's nothing "special" to look for really, you connect a hose to the port on the upper intake area ( the round tube portion that the throttle body is on - throttle body is at the passenger side end & the port for the pcv is towards the other end. There is also a small vacuum line right next to it ). You connect the other end of that hose to the input of your catch can, then run another piece of hose from the output of the catch can to the actual pcv valve barb.
My catch can hangs fairly securely without it being physically mounted.
