I guess I'm more of a form over function kind of guy. Sure, I've drooled over the new McClaren, Bugatti Veyron, and a few other cars that are so far out of my reach they may as well cost $10million.

I have had a chance to drive some fun sports cars over the years, mostly owned by others.

1969 BMW 1600 (Cousin to the 2002) loads of fun, light and nimble
1971 Vega GT with 327 Chevy V8 engine. Pretty crude, but loads of fun!
1971 Pantera w/blown 500hp 351Ford V8. Fun, but ran hot in traffic
1984 Alpha Romero GTV6 (mine). Hemi-head V6 that loved to rev, balanced handling. Dam I miss that car. Probably my favorite.
DeLorean. Cool styling. Ho-hum performing Renault V6. Yawn.
1986 Ferarri 308GTS. Fun car, but not my favorite. Gets plenty of attention, but only as powerful as a mid 1990's Camero Z/28, handles about as well, too. Maybe it was the old tires it has on it. Maybe I expected more. Maybe I should wear a Detroit Tigers baseball cap when I borrow it.
2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder convertible (mine). Mid engine handling is touchy, when it snaps around, it really does so in a hurry.
