Hi guys,

Quote:
bobo, make sure that your new 8ga cable run to your cab is fused within 18 inches from your battery.
there are fuses inside this distro block i put next to the battery:

a very good point though, i have seen far too many cars with un-fused or incorrectly fused wires coming from the battery.

You really should find a 5 speed. I had a similar vintage ford with that tranny. It is essentially a 3 speed with a stump puller gear that I never used in normal driving.
Yeah the more I drive the more Im beginning to think this would be my best option, I have now done 350km in it and I haven't used 1st once...

Tomorrow Im going to have a look at my mates F100 and see what gearbox he has and how much he wants for it, hopefully its in good order and he doesn't want too much for it

Today i pulled apart the intake and gas mixer and cleaned it all out and fixed a couple of the hoses that were cracked. I also replaced all of the spade terminals on the ends of the wiring to the solenoids and redid the earths which seems to have fixed the hard starting issue. It was warmer this afternoon than it has been lately though so il find out for sure tomorrow morning.

Thanks for looking
