Wise words, BBob, but time is short and I'll have to try an educated guess for starters. When educated guesses include "The easy way might work as well as the hard way," I default to what's easy. So...unless it's obvious to somebody that the 12 degree deck taper will be too steep once that tapered cabin is installed, I'll make my initial attempt without modifying my transom, and then experiment with improving it after I have a working (as in, capable of going through a rainstorm without getting my clothes wet) prototype of the cabin. Sound like a plan?
