Turtle Introducing my Land Rover.

Hello, I have just become the owner of a 42 year old Land Rover IIA. I would like to use it on a regular basis for camping trips and also in the winter.
Its very old school and from England, 2.25 liter Diesel (61hp / 104ft lbs), four speed with a Fairey overdrive with a four wheel drive transfer case, no power steering or brakes plus its right hand drive.
I have always wanted a Diesel and I am hoping to make it efficent as possible. My eldest son who is a mechanic in the Army has already given me some great tips for the Engine.
Its has locking hubs on the front axle so it is 2WD most of the time. It only has 30,000 miles on it and I am hoping to have it on the road very soon, I am just waiting for insurance info now.
