Just a small correction to avoid confusion. Although mirrors can raise a car's drag coefficient (Cd), simply omitting them from the frontal area number will not change this measure. Changing frontal area will, however, affect CdA, which is the drag coefficient multiplied by the frontal area.
Removing the mirrors from the car will change CdA and may change Cd, depending on how aerodynamic the mirrors are.
