I was going to disagree with you... looked at the link... agree... then, started wondering... the bail-outs were still announced under the Bush administration... and were supported by both candidates during the election. If the question is how the money would be spent... seeing as the previous bank bail-out money went straight into golden parachutes for bankers... I think neither option was completely satisfactory.

I agree... Very poor. While mass market makers have to put up with building big cars with big mark-ups, MINI, thanks to premium product placement, cheap Brazilian engines and leather, gets to build small cars with a big mark-up. They wouldn't even have a market if they were trying to sell to the same people who buy Hyundai Accents and Toyota Yarii.
