I've also got a 2011 Forester Premium with 5sp. I bought mine for almost the exact reasons the OP on this thread did. I am learning how to drive this car for economy and have driven it, since 11/2011, about 7800 miles. Average MPG is now up to 28.7 lifetime and 29.7 last 90 days. I absolutely love this car.

Will have to start thinking about things like underpans (I think Sub makes one for the Forester but it only goes on the turbo'd versions, would probably fit on mine but also too expensive), fog light vent blocks etc.
