Sensationalism usually has the reverse effect when facts show the fallacy of dire predictions. I find that it actually mades the job of selling my patented technology more difficult. Meanwhile the real potential pathway to progress is disguised by agendas that have no basis in reality, facts, or confirmable scientific research or historic context.
I think this planet stands less than an ice cubes chance in hades of preempting the next energy crises (last one was manufactured). I also think that the "doomsdayers" are actually having the opposite effect of their intentions, assuming their intentions are honorable and sincere.
