imho what you want on the 'perfect' car that's buildable today is an active grillblock... something that's closed all of the time but when you do get stuck in Death Valley you got as much radiator exposure as needed in such a situation. that will give you all the aero advantages of a full grillblock and perhaps better coolign than wat is now standard in extreme conditions....

also exit ducts for the radiator air rather than just dumping it into the engine bay and leaving it to it's own device are "doable" things that might reduce cooling drag significantly, and may require little more than some plastic panels
