Anyone who has owned a convertible knows what putting the top down does to the fuel mileage. My Jeep, for example, goes from 18-20mpg top up to about 8-10mpg top down. Why would you buy a hybrid convertible? You might as well buy a "cool" convertible at that point, you've just spent a ton of money on a hybrid drivetrain that is offering you minimal benefit. Hybrids are cool but don't always offer the best option financially.
